The National Business Ethics Survey (NBES), periodically published by the Ethics Resource Center, is the pre-eminent source of information about workplace conduct through the eyes of employees themselves. In the most recent survey, 41 percent of workers surveyed said they observed misconduct on the job. Of those who said they observed misconduct only 63 percent said they reported what they saw.
